Candidates often ask us at MBA Admit.com whether we agree with these rankings. In general, the right schools appear in these Top-11 rankings, although we do not necessarily agree with the precise order of the EMBA programs.
Specifically, when considering top EMBA programs, we urge our candidates to bear heavily in mind how powerful the alumni network will be for them at their chosen program. Also, rankings can change drastically from year to year; they can even vary greatly based on which organization performed the ranking (U.S. News and World Report vs. Bloomberg Businessweek, for instance). But, the overall brand and prestige of the top MBA programs do not fluctuate as much, therefore the prestige and brand of the school should be weighed heavily when considering EMBA programs.
Which of the above programs do we consider to be the top 2? Considering the quality of candidates we see admitted to the programs, the quality of the programs, the breadth and reach of the alumni network and the school’s prestige, we believe this list above has the top two correct: Wharton and Booth. The other schools are outstanding choices, and the particular circumstances of each applicant will determine which of the other Top-11 are truly ideal.
